Get your store talking to AI in under 10 minutes.

Everything you need to install Sendystack, sync your WooCommerce data, and let Claude, ChatGPT & Gemini operate as your store's manager.

Installation

Sendystack ships as a standard WordPress plugin. No server access or code changes are required.

  1. From your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New and search for "Sendystack", or download the plugin from github.com/sendystack/chat and upload the zip.
  2. Activate the plugin. A new Sendystack menu appears in your WordPress sidebar.
  3. Create a free account at app.sendystack.org, then open the Keys page and generate a license key.
  4. Paste the license key into the plugin's settings screen in WordPress and click Activate.
WooCommerce is optional. Without it, Sendystack still answers from your pages, posts and FAQs — install WooCommerce first if you want it to quote live stock, prices and orders too.

Connecting your store

Once activated, the plugin registers your site against your license and begins reading your content locally:

  • Pages, posts and menus
  • WooCommerce products, categories, prices and stock levels (if installed)
  • Order history and shipping/return policies, for accurate post-purchase answers

None of this data leaves your server until you explicitly sync it — see below.

Syncing knowledge

From the dashboard's Dashboard or Knowledge page, click Sync Now (or wait for the automatic daily sync). This chunks and embeds your content into your workspace's private knowledge base, which powers both the public chat widget and every AI connector.

Re-sync any time content changes — new products, updated prices, or a new return policy. Nothing is shared with an AI provider until you explicitly enable that connector below.

AI connectors (MCP)

Sendystack speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol) — the open standard that lets AI assistants call tools and read context directly. From the dashboard's AI Connectors page you get a unique connector URL per provider, plus an access token.

Two connector modes are available, matching the two product pages on this site:

  • Admin connector — read-only access to your own revenue, orders and product data, for use inside your own Claude or ChatGPT account as an operations copilot.
  • Storefront connector — public-facing product & policy lookups that any visitor's AI session can query, so ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini can answer shoppers directly.

Claude setup

  1. In the dashboard, open AI Connectors → Claude and copy the connector URL.
  2. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the URL.
  3. Approve the connection. Claude can now query revenue, orders and products on request — try asking it "what was yesterday's revenue?"

ChatGPT setup

  1. Open AI Connectors → ChatGPT in the dashboard and copy the connector URL.
  2. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors → Add connector (available on plans that support custom connectors/MCP).
  3. Once connected, ask for a sales report, top products, or a period comparison — ChatGPT pulls live numbers through the connector.

Gemini setup

  1. Open AI Connectors → Gemini and copy the connector details.
  2. Add it as an extension/tool source in Gemini following Google's connector setup flow.
  3. Gemini can then answer visitor questions about your products using the storefront connector.

Managing leads

Whenever the public chat widget or a storefront AI session captures contact details from a visitor, it appears in real time on the dashboard's Leads page — name, email, interest, and the message that triggered capture, scored by intent.

License & keys

Your license key activates the WordPress plugin and binds it to one site. Generate, view or regenerate it any time from the dashboard's Keys page. Regenerating a key immediately invalidates the previous one.

Starter, Pro and Scale differ by connected-site count and monthly message volume — see the pricing section for current limits. Every plan, including Starter, includes AI-provider connectors at no extra cost.

FAQ

Does this work without WooCommerce?

Yes. Sendystack reads your pages, posts and FAQs regardless of WooCommerce. Product, price and stock answers require WooCommerce to be installed.

Can I control what AI is allowed to answer?

Yes — the persona, tone and any guardrails are configurable from the dashboard, and the public connector only ever exposes the data you've synced and explicitly shared.

What happens if I exceed my plan's message limit?

The chat widget keeps working; you'll see a usage warning on the dashboard and can upgrade at any time from the Subscription page.

Is my data used to train any AI model?

No. Your content is only used to answer questions about your own store — see the Privacy Policy for details.
